City Bike Rental

E Bike Rental is a brand of Deliciouspoint, Lda., dedicated to the rental of bicycles and accessories for cyclists.

1 – Purpose

This regulation aims to define the terms and civil responsibilities of the client/lessee who enters into a temporary rental agreement with Deliciouspoint, Lda., VAT no. 509509592, headquartered in Vila de Rei, for the rental and use of bicycles.

2 – General Provisions

The bicycles rented to clients are the exclusive property of Deliciouspoint, Lda. and are intended for leisure rides within the city of Aveiro and surrounding areas (Ílhavo and beaches).

3 – Terms and Conditions

Terms:

a) The client/lessee agrees to take responsibility for any damage or loss of the bicycle(s) and accessories during the rental period.

b) The client/lessee is responsible for complying with traffic rules.

c) For overnight rentals, the client/lessee is responsible for parking the bicycle in a secure indoor location.

Conditions:

1. A €150 security deposit will be required and refunded after the bicycle is inspected.

b) A valid identification document must be provided.

c) All bicycles come with a lock – we will show you how to use it correctly during the rental process.

d) Helmets will be provided by Deliciouspoint upon request at no extra cost. – Helmet use is recommended and mandatory for all children under 12 years old.

4 – Rental Prices

The rental prices are listed in the price table available on this website.

All prices include VAT at the current rate. The rental fee includes locks and (optional) helmets.

5 – Insurance and Accidents

The bicycle rental does not include any liability or personal accident insurance provided by Deliciouspoint.

The client is always responsible for any damage caused to the bicycle, to third parties, and to themselves.

6 – Malfunctions

In case of any malfunction caused by the client, they must immediately inform Deliciouspoint and return the bicycle. The client will be charged for the downtime period of the equipment.

If the malfunction is not the client's fault, they must also inform Deliciouspoint and return the bicycle to the shop, where it will be replaced with a similar one.

7 – Roadside Assistance

Deliciouspoint Lda. may provide roadside assistance in the event of any malfunction, whether the client's fault or not. This service must be requested by the client.

8 – Theft, Loss and Damage

The rental price does not include insurance for theft or total/partial loss of the bicycle, nor for damage (including personal belongings or mechanical parts), under any circumstances, whether due to vandalism or road accidents.

For such risks (theft, loss, vehicle damage), a liability fee of €550 (VAT included) is payable by the client/lessee.

Loss or damage to accessories (keys, helmet, etc.) is not covered and will be charged according to the general price list.

9 – Damaged Parts

In case of partial damage or loss of accessories, the client must pay Deliciouspoint the cost of repair or replacement, as per the current price list on the date of occurrence.

10 – Omissions

In cases not covered by this regulation, the parties shall be governed by the applicable law in force.
